11/15/09 Best Home Care
nominates Susan Senfuma as recipient of the Annual State
Home Care
Aide Award given by Mass Council for Home Care Aide
Services. |
| |
Susan Senfuma, a
Somerville resident, has been nominated for the 2009
Effie Chalmers WAddell Award, given by Mass Council for
Home Care Aide Services to honor the outstanding service
and dedication of home care aides.
Senfuma, is employed at Best Home Care in Wakefield, and
has been nominated for the Home Health Aide of the year
award the award recipients will be honored at the State
House in Boston on November 18th, 2009
"Susan has been with our company since 2007. She is the
youngest of 15 siblings. Susan credits her mother and
father for giving the whole family such a sense of
responsibility to contribute to our world. Susan is
called upon with the most challenging cases that we
have, when a nurse knows that there will be difficulties
in a case, they want to have the intelligent,
compassionate smile of Susan next to their client. They
are confident that when they leave her to care for our
client at thier most difficult time, Susan will exceed
each person's ecpectations of compassionate care, "said
a Best Home Care spokesperson.
"There are countless examples that demonstrate Susan's
compassionate care. Susan cared for hospice patient
whose family lived out of state, as the end approached
for the client, Susan was determind not to let this
fearful client die alone. She would sleep on the floor
each night next to the client's bed so she would not
feel scared and alone. As a result of Susan's compassion
the client was not alone when she died," the
spokesperson added.
"I am one of 15 children; we are very close and care for
one another. My father brought us all to this country
when he retired; his mission was to give all of us the
best opportunity that he could."

seeing client and in her spare time enjoys reading and
watching educational programs on television. |

11/15/09 Best Home Care
nominates Rosemary Lovasco to be the recipient of the
Annual State Home Care Aide Award given by Mass Council
for Home Care Aide Services. |
| |
Rosemary Lovasco, a
life lone Peabody resident, has been nominated for the
2009 Effie Chalmers Waddell Award, and award given by
Mass Council for Home Care Aide Services to honor the
exceptional service and dedication of home care aides.
Lovasco, has been nominated for this award for her
thirty years of outstanding service as a home care aide.
Home Care Aides, and the award recipients will be
honored at the State House in Boston on November 18th,
2009.
"Rosemary has been with Best Home Care for five years,
and she has impressed clients, their families, and her
supervisors from the moment she arrived at Best Home
Care. Her up beat personality makes clients, families,
and co workers feel better. Rosemary can light up a room
and never lets her share of life's struggles get her
down, " said a Best Home Care spokesperson.
"One example of Rosemary's exceptional ability to make a
difference in the lives of others occurred when she was
assigned to care for a two and a half year old boy. The
diagnosis of severe brain injury at birth didn't seem
like it would have any positive outcome for Jake. The
medical community had given up on Jake. Rosemary worked
with Jake for the next seven years. Jake went from
walking to running and eventually reading. For Rosemary,
the reward came after six years, when Jake was able to
attend a public school program. While Jake grew to be an
important part of her life, it was such a joy for her to
see him grow independent and able to participate in life
outside him home," the spokesperson added.
"I have fond memories of the hard work and effort that I
was able to give Jake. There is great opportunity in any
adversity and that with perseverance and a joyful
attitude, so much is possible." said Rosemary.
Rosemary has two daughters, five grandchildren, and two
great grandchildren. Rosemary's hobbies include
knitting, face book, bowling, and spending time with her
grandchildren. She also enjoys her home in Florida and
her best friend, GiGi, a 6 year old Shi/Poo. |
